Supervising Career Coaches Series: Article 3 - Brain Science: Helping Clients Grow and Learn

About

Following the inaugural Career Coaching cohort in the fall of 2023, the Next Level Now (NLN) Collaborative reviewed the collective feedback and decided to host another training program, this time with a different audience in mind.

This second cohort would target supervisors of career coaches within American Job Centers (AJCs) and follow a “train the trainer” style format, providing promising practices for increasing capacity as supervisors, methods for effectively leading teams, and offering strategies for taking transactional coaching methods to transformational interactions with clients.

The “Train the Trainer” cohort concluded in August 2024 and offered a multitude of resources for the 70+ participants. To ensure the valuable information shared with cohort attendees is accessible to the entire workforce system, we will be posting a multi-part “Supervising Career Coaches Series" on our Community of Practice (CoP) over the next few months, covering the topics discussed in the cohort and providing the corresponding resources. This is the third article in the series, which covers brain science and how career coaches can tailor their coaching strategy to optimally serve their clients.
