Join us for an America’s Talent Strategy Series webinar that brings together state workforce and education leaders to discuss strategies to help more Americans participate in the workforce and advance into jobs in a growing and evolving economy. Participants will learn about various strategies to support worker mobility, with a focus on expanding workforce participation, reducing barriers to employment and mobility, and strengthening career navigation and advancement.

This webinar will highlight how states are putting these concepts into practice. Speakers from Colorado, Connecticut, and Indiana will discuss approaches such as improving job matching through technology, streamlining licensing processes, expanding access to career and labor market information, and aligning credentials with workforce demand to help more individuals connect to and progress in high-quality jobs. The session is designed to surface practical insights and peer lessons that participants can apply to strengthen and sustain worker mobility strategies in their own states.

The primary audience includes state workforce and education leaders who design and implement policies and strategies that support workforce participation and advancement.

The webinar covers the following topics:

  • Expanding Workforce Participation: Expanding participation in the labor force by bringing more Americans into employment and connecting individuals to work opportunities.
  • Reducing Barriers to Employment and Mobility: Addressing barriers that limit entry into the workforce and restrict movement across jobs, industries, and states.
  • Strengthening Career Navigation and Advancement: Leveraging technology, labor market information, and improved transparency to help workers navigate options and advance in the labor market.

Participants will leave the webinar with a clearer understanding of how states are implementing strategies to support worker mobility, including concrete examples of state efforts to increase workforce participation, remove barriers to employment and mobility, and strengthen career navigation and advancement. The session will highlight practical lessons from peer states, help participants identify strategies they can implement in their own contexts, and surface priorities for continued learning and technical assistance.
